ABOUT BIRD TROUBLE
All of leather bags and products are designed and handcrafted by founder Alexz Sandoval in her McHenry, IL home workshop and two small family own and ran production teams in Chicago, IL and southern Ohio.
Alexz is a first generation American Mexican, a leather worker, an entrepreneur, wife, dog mom, and soon to be a first time mom. Alexz’s grandpa was a tailor for a living so she’s been around sewing machines her whole life. Resilience, adventure, and public service runs strong in our family - it’s no wonder Bird Trouble embodies the same qualities.
100% cotton t-shirts hand screen printed on on the ancestral lands of Nisqually, Coast Salish, Cowlitz and Squaxin nations - in Olympia, Washington USA by our friend Kayleigh of Dust Byrd featuring her beautiful original artwork. Kayleigh is an Evergreen State College graduate from the Master of Environmental Science program. Her research interests are heavily focused in ecology, biodiversity, and conservation of birds.
Kayleigh’s art holds Bird Trouble’s values - wild, free, a feeling of open roads and love for nature. As a small business owner, I am very proud to support her since she is a true friend and to let my brand work as a vehicle to display her creative work.
