Well-Loved Hand Dyed Leather

Wow! So much has happened since the last time I blogged. Well in October 2018, I opened a brick and mortar that is home to Bird Trouble’s production space, main office, and retail space. That was huge. I’m here to show you the following pictures though… so show you how the leather in the Bird Trouble collection ages. This shows the quality of the designs and materials as well as the character you can look forward too.

Darcie my customer here in Chicago dropped off her year and a half old Melissa Convertible Bag so she could get a few upgrades. In the meanwhile, I took photos to document how her bag has aged now that she’s been using it for a year and a half. It’s so so beautiful, don’t you think? The vegtan leather stretches and the deep look of the water-based leather dye lightens in competition as the texture vividly pebbles and a glossy patina takes over.
